Under the patronage of the President of the University of Kirkuk, Professor Imran Jamal Hassan, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Law and Political Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Murad Saeb Mahmoud, the College of Law and Political Science's Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit held a training course on the role of emotional intelligence in behavioral and cognitive counseling and its applications in university life. The course was held in Hammurabi Hall within the college premises.
The training course, presented by Professor Dr. Halima Salman Khalaf, Assistant Professor Dr. Rizgar Jirjis Abdullah, Assistant Professor Dr. Karim Zidan Khalaf, and Assistant Professor Dr. Ghada Hayawi Lazim, focused on modifying students' incorrect and illogical thoughts through adopting cognitive and behavioral strategies. Emotional intelligence stems from emotional awareness, coping with psychological pressures and anxiety associated with studying, and engaging positively with classmates. This, in turn, creates a healthy university environment that promotes social relationships, mental health, and teamwork, enabling students to succeed in university life and deal with academic and social challenges more effectively. By integrating emotional intelligence with behavioral and cognitive guidance, students can improve their academic performance and prepare for practical life after graduation.
And success comes from God
