The College of Law and Political Science organizes a scientific symposium on the legal mechanisms for using the MasterKey electronic payment card as a model.

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Kirkuk, Professor Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Law and Political Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Murad Saeb Mahmoud, the College of Law and Political Science, Continuing Education Division, in cooperation with the Technology Incubator and Ecosystem Unit, held a scientific symposium on the legal mechanisms for using the MasterKey electronic payment card as a model. The symposium was held in Hammurabi Hall on the college campus.

The symposium, chaired by Assistant Professor Dr. Halo Muhammad Salih, and attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Rayan Hashim Hamdoun and Assistant Lecturer Muhammad Ahmed Hussein, addressed the legal framework for electronic payment transactions using MasterKey cards, including the need to implement the Central Bank of Iraq Law No. 56 of 2004 and the Banking Law No. 94 of 2004. It also defined the general frameworks for the work of banks and the Central Bank, including oversight of payment and settlement systems. Addressing Electronic Money Payment Services Regulation No. (3) of 2014: This regulation regulates the work of electronic payment service providers in Iraq and sets the terms and conditions necessary for providing these services, ensuring the safety and efficiency of electronic payment systems.
