Under the patronage of the President of the University of Kirkuk, Professor Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Law and Political Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Murad Saeb Mahmoud, the College of Law and Political Science, Division of Continuing Education, in cooperation with the Division of Media and Government Communication, held a scientific symposium on artificial intelligence and its legal and political implications. The symposium was held in Hammurabi Hall on the college grounds.
The scientific symposium, chaired by Professor Dr. Sami Hassan Najm and attended by Professor Dr. Fawzi Hussein Salman, Assistant Professor Dr. Muhannad Hamad Ahmed, Assistant Professor Dr. Halo Mohammed Saleh, Lecturer Zaidoun Khalaf Mahmoud, Assistant Professor Dr. Saadoun Haseeb Arif, Assistant Professor Dr. Bassem Mohammed Aryan, Lecturer Dr. Salem Anwar Ahmed Danok, Lecturer Dr. Adi Suleiman, Lecturer Dr. Omar Thaer Thabet, Lecturer Dr. Watban Warns Nawaf, Assistant Lecturer Ramadan Mohammed Saleh, Dr. Mariwan Saleh Ahmed, and Lecturer Dr. Makki Mohammed Abdul Rahman, addressed artificial intelligence: concept, origins, impact on law and policy, legal horizons for the use of AI programs, the judiciary and privacy in AI websites, the impact of AI on constitutional rights and freedoms, the legal personality of AI, the problem of determining the nationality of AI robots, the effects of AI on international relations, AI from a legal perspective in light of the objectives of Islamic law, and the criminal liability arising from AI.
