A new book by Assistant Professor Dr. Marivan Mustafa Rashid, a faculty member at the College of Science and Technology in Kirkuk, is titled: Forbidden Relations (Homosexuality) / Under the Hammer of Sharia Law / A Sharia, Psychological, Health, and Legal Perspective. In collaboration with a select group of authors, the book is published by Dar Min Al-Muheet ila Al-Khaleej for Modern Publishing and Distribution 2225.
The author, a legal expert, stated that the book addresses the topic of homosexuality, a topic that often generates widespread debate in various societies. Homosexuality is considered taboo in Islam and other religious laws. Some countries criminalize same-sex relationships, while in others, it is legally recognized, including same-sex marriage. She also uses the term "multiple sexual acts" to describe the transmission of sexually transmitted diseases.
