The thesis, which was discussed in the presence of the Dean of the College of Law and Political Science, Murad Saeb Mahmoud, aimed to demonstrate the strategic importance of West African countries in Chinese foreign policy, and the importance of energy in Chinese policy towards West African countries.
The thesis concluded that China's foreign policy determinants towards the African continent depended on the historical dimension of relations between them, in addition to the importance of this continent with its wealth in terms of energy and minerals in the Chinese geopolitical perception.
