A master's thesis in the College of Law and Political Science discussed: Contemporary Qatari foreign policy towards regional crises / selected models by researcher Rafai Abbas Ibrahim, in the hall of the College of Education for Humanities.

The thesis aimed to clarify and define the contemporary Qatari foreign policy, analyze its foreign policy towards Arab and regional crises, examine the internal aspects represented by decision-making institutions and external aspects and the extent of Qatar's interaction with international and regional positions and events, and clarify Qatar's role and position on the Yemeni and Sudanese crises.
The thesis concluded that the role of the State of Qatar's foreign policy began to emerge since Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani assumed power in Qatar and followed a policy of openness, neutrality and mediation towards regional, Arab and international issues, as it presented its mediation and diplomatic work in order to place the name of the State of Qatar on the map of advanced countries in accordance with Qatar's National Vision for the year 2030.
