Faculty members from the College of Law and Political Science participate in a scientific conference at Koya University

Assistant Professor Dr. Murad Saeb Mahmoud, Dean of the College of Law and Political Science, and a group of faculty members participated in the first scientific conference held by the Federal Ministry of Justice in cooperation with the Universities of Baghdad, Kirkuk, Al-Mustansiriya, and Basra. The conference was held at Koya University under the title: "Criminal Justice and the Rule of Law in Correctional Institutions in Iraq - Prospects, Challenges, and Aspirations."

We participated in the conference as a member of the conference's scientific committee, chaired its sessions, and presented several scientific papers addressing the role of the constitution in promoting the rule of law and criminal justice within Iraqi penal institutions and the role of civil society organizations in protecting the cultural rights of inmates in Iraqi correctional facilities.
