Under the patronage of the President of the University of Kirkuk, Professor Imran Jamal Hassan, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Law and Political Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Murad Saib, the College of Law and Political Science, Continuing Education Division, in cooperation with the Human Rights Unit and the Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Unit, held a scientific symposium on personal human rights in light of the procedures followed by the executive authority.
The symposium, presented by Professor Dr. Talat Jiyad Laji, Assistant Professor Dr. Manaf Salim Hassoun, Assistant Professor Dr. Halo Muhammad Salih, and Assistant Professor Dr. Khalil Ibrahim Hussein, addressed the nature of personal human rights, their legal basis in international conventions and domestic legislation, their types, and the guarantees that ensure the protection of these rights when the executive authority carries out its duties in implementing laws and public policy in the state.
