The College of Law and Political Science organizes a scientific symposium on ways to reduce and prevent cyber-extortion and intellectual extremism.

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Kirkuk, Professor Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Law and Political Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Murad Saeb Mahmoud, the College of Law and Political Science, Continuing Education Division, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior/Undersecretariat for Intelligence and Federal Investigations/Technology and Information Technology Directorate/Cybercrime Department/Combating Cyber-Extortion, held a scientific symposium on ways to reduce and prevent cyber-extortion and intellectual extremism. The symposium was held in Hammurabi Hall on the college campus.

The seminar, attended by Brigadier General Ali Sami Abdul-Jabbar, Lieutenant Colonel Akram Dawood Saeed, Lieutenant Colonel Yahya Nihad Zainal, Major Khalaf Hassan Mohammed, Mr. Hussein Nihad Mohammed, Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Ali, and Mr. Firas Fateh Taha, addressed the understanding of extremism and its prevention, electronic blackmail, cybercrime, methods of prevention and treatment, and the role of the Ministry of Interior and the Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency in addressing these issues, raising awareness, and reminding participants to use the toll-free number 911.
