The College of Law and Political Science organizes a scientific symposium on the mechanisms capable of reducing the phenomenon of drug spread

Under the patronage of the President of Kirkuk University, Prof. Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Law and Political Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Murad Saeb Mahmoud, the College of Law and Political Science, Continuing Education Division, in cooperation with the Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Affairs in Kirkuk Governorate, held a scientific symposium on the mechanisms capable of reducing the phenomenon of drug spread, in Hammurabi Hall in the college.

The scientific symposium, which was held under the chairmanship of Assistant Professor Dr. Halo Muhammad Salih, Engineer Shawan Najat Muhammad, and Mr. Haider Abdul Karim Abdullah, addressed the reasons that lead to the spread of drug abuse and its effects that lead to the exhaustion of the health and psychology of the addict and affect the security and its impact on the stability of society.

The symposium recommended strengthening parental control over children and enhancing the mother's security efforts to reduce this phenomenon and activating the role of academic and educational institutions in providing lessons and lectures to reduce this phenomenon and if addicts are in institutions or health centers to receive appropriate treatment and activating the Iraqi Penal Code to punish the perpetrators of this crime.
