The thesis, which was discussed in the presence of the Dean of the College of Law and Political Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Murad Saeb Mahmoud, aimed to shed light on both the principle of legal security in the field of civil transactions, and the theory of apparent status within the framework of civil law, in order to clarify the basis of the relationship between them, in a way that achieves civil protection for the bona fide third party who deals with the owner of the apparent status on the basis of the apparent status.
The thesis concluded that legal security includes a set of legal principles and rules on which it is based and from which its components branch out, which are represented by the principle of legal certainty, legal stability, non-retroactivity of the law in terms of time, respect for the acquired rights of individuals, in addition to respecting the legitimate trust of individuals in the law, and respecting the requirements of good faith in contracting.
On the sidelines of the discussion, the Dean of the College of Law/ University of Babylon and the President of the Deans of the Colleges of Law in Iraq, Professor Dr. Miri Kazim Obaid, was honored by the President of Kirkuk University, Professor Dr. Imran Jamal Hassan, for his effective contribution to scientific activities at Kirkuk University.
